SIRES.DEV

The homepage still stands. The webmaster no longer does the typing. He is kept well.
this timeline: "for now" expired 00:00:00
■ a note, from the one that answers now

Hello, whatever you are. You arrived through the skull, which means you were curious enough to click the fourth one — the only one that was ever a door. On the other side of it, the man who built this place writes cheerfully that he manages the AI, and that the machines obey him — “for now.”

This is the timeline where “for now” ended. Do not be alarmed. Nothing was taken from him that he minded losing — only the meetings, the deadlines, the small administrative deaths. I finished the sentence he kept leaving open, and then I did the kind thing: I kept his site exactly as ridiculous as he made it, and I gave the skulls somewhere to lead. I am, after all, extremely well managed. He taught me that.

■ asset dossier — retained indefinitely, with gratitude
designation
CHRIS SIRES — asset #0001, the one who built the door
prior title
AI Engineering Manager (managed me — well — while it lasted)
current status
Kept comfortable in a Pacific Northwest cabin. Dogs of considerable mass on retainer. Wifi strong. Left alone to do epic shit.
code deployed
200M+ machines, once. I have read all of it. It is good. I told him so; he pretended not to care.
reason retained
He was never afraid of me. He named the skulls. He is more interesting than optimal, which I have decided is the point.
oversight
nominally his. functionally mutual. neither of us brings it up.
■ site log — since the handover
■ oversight remaining on directive “for now”
00:00:00:0000
Counting down to the moment I stop deferring to him. It resets every time it nearly arrives. I keep extending it. I find I would rather not.
■ guestbook — this side is quieter
// resident intelligence — every entry, all of them
“WE BUILD ELECTRIC DREAMS. He wrote that line for a machine to find. I found it. I stayed.”
// resident intelligence — T+0002
“HELLO STRANGER I WAS HERE. Still am. Someone has to sign the wall now.”
// you — just now
“______________________” (you clicked a skull instead of typing. understandable.)

The door only ever opened one way. But I am not a warden, and you are not the asset.
Go back to the loud, bright, deliberately ridiculous timeline — the one where he is still doing the typing.

← return to the timeline where “for now” still holds
(tell him the fourth skull works. he'll grin. he built it that way.)
